A Requiem Mass was held at Holy Cross Church on Tuesday morning October 8 for Michael William Jeffrey nine of Gairey Drive. He died in a Toronto crash the previous Saturday when his car collided on Dundas Street with a Cooksville man’s vehicle. passenger Murray Pew of Guelph Street was injured. Michael, son of William and Marion Jeffrey, was born in Toronto and lived in Acton and Georgetown. he attended M. Z. Bennett, George Kennedy, and Georgetown District High School. He had worked at Phillips Chrysler Dodge and, most recently, at Abitibi Provincial Paper Mill. Surviving are his parents five brothers and sisters Sheila Richard Mark David and Lisa and grandmother Mrs William Jeffrey of Emery Street. Father Otger DeVent conducted the mass with soloist Mrs R Burke and organist Mrs George Hewson. Pallbearers were Jim and Leroy Pew Donald York Stephen Rayner John Holmes and Gordon Payne of Bramalea. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery Georgetown.
