The George town Branch of the Canadian Grenfell Mission met at Knox 8 room at 3 pm on Friday May 3. Miss Ethel G. Graham of Ottawa Secretary to the Mission spoke on Grenfell Mission work in Labrador. Officers elected include Secretary Treasurer Mrs J B Mackensie and Mrs W D Johnstone. the society sent a bale of re worn and second hand items valued at 8200 to Maution Bay Labrador.

Six Injured in Bridge Crash Near Georgetown
A Friday night collision on a narrow bridge near Line, Esquesing, five miles north of Georgetown, injured six people. Merle Reid of Brampton drove a 1931 Ford "A" and collided with a truck loaded with potatoes driven by Hugh Scott of Toronto. Donald Cox of Brampton was most seriously hurt, with possible spinal injuries.
