United Church W M S Holds March Meeting On India Study

William Edward Yarranton 57, superintendent at Peel Halton House of Refuge, was acquitted of manslaughter after a fight with inmate James Callon 63 on the refuge farm. The Peel Spring Assizes jury deliberated seven hours ten minutes before a verdict delivered by Justice Greene.

Norval Rifle Club Narrowly Loses at CNR Range
At the CNR rifle range in Toronto on Monday night March 11 the Norval Rifle Club was defeated by a margin of five points as CNR scored 985 of 1000 to Norval’s 980. Individual Norval scores included Nurse 100, Atkinson 100, Hall 100, Meredith 90, Cantelos 99, Robertson 90, Caves 99, Reed 97, Hall 95.
