The McGibbon House hosted a banquet launching two local chapters of the Provincial Paper Quarter Century Club. Gold-pocket watches were given to 41 men and 6 trays to 4 women who met the 25 year service criterion. John Armstrong led longest service with 47 years, followed by William Merritt 46 and Samuel Harrison 42. others ranged from 38 to 38 years. A December meeting will admit new members, with entertainment by Toronto acts and local performances.

Georgetown Native Clarence Ostrander Dies in Toronto Hospital
Clarence Elwin Ostrander, a Georgetown native aged 40, died after a brief illness at Toronto General Hospital on December 7. He was raised in Georgetown, attended local schools, married Evelyn McClellan of Huttonville, and resided in Guelph at his death. Survivors include his wife Nora, his mother, and sister Muriel Borst. Funeral held in Brampton with interment there.
