Many Deer Bagged By District Hunters
Venison steaks and roasts make for good eating and judging by hunting luck in town and district a great many families will enjoy the delicacy. Clare Wilson bagged a 240 pound buck and Steve Norrie another in Esquesing Township. A three day shoot in Speyside saw Art Speight lead about fourteen men from Hornby to eleven deer. The Pine Lake Hunt Club party netted two bears seven deer and many fowl. District hunters from Acton Norton Glen Williams and Manitoulin Island reports their deer quotas with multiple solo and group bags.

On Monday November 28 Esquesing Council accepted the tender of the Canadian Bank of Commerce for 987 000 to purchase Glen Williams School. Interest is 3 percent. purchase price 100 872. A 20 000 temporary bank loan was made on debentures. Various small claims and lamb and sheep kills are listed with numerous Acton Georgetown and Glen Williams residents named.
