Omahan Speaks at Library Meet on Lack of Funds
Bruce McCullough of the Omaha public library board addressed the Missouri Valley regional conference of the American Library Association in St. Joseph noting libraries struggle for adequate funding. He argued per capita appropriations around one dollar would be a starting point though many areas receive only a fraction of needs. Dr. A V Bortwick of St Louis urged practical focus on readers and moderate use of funds for best sellers.
