Des Moines Iowa November 8 Smith W Brookhart ton who was elected senator from Iowa in for soldier and a lawyer. He farmed Duroe Jersey pigs on a farm at Washington and is a rifle shooting instructor. Brookhart was born in Missouri 1869, grew up near Bloomfield, taught school, studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1892, settling in Washington. He avoids alcohol and tobacco and has little interest in golf or baseball.
