In Kearney Nebraska on June 25 Special report says federal engineer F F Smith announces the Platte valley irrigation district survey data are being compiled. Charts and maps are drawn as the survey is prepared for transfer to the Agriculture Department. Eleven reservoirs north of the Platte river and three south of it between North Platte and Lexington are planned. Three more reservoirs would be created by damming the river. The plan envisions irrigation of 300 000 acres and drainage of 90 000 acres.
