Neighbors had urged eviction, and his followers prayed for him outside the station.
In Fremont Nebraska a gang backed a truck to the L P Hansen grocery door and stole a 300 pound safe with $200 and merchandise. The safe door was broken and found in a nearby melon patch a mile away. Police link the burglary to another robbery using tools from Farmers elevator and mention prior Hansen store robberies.
Complete service on the Omaha railroad between Sioux City and Norfolk Neb has been restored after a tie up for several days due to washouts from heavy rains. Twelve trains were taken off Saturday and no service for two days between Emerson and Norfolk or on the Bloomfield and Crofton lines.

Judson H. Smith aged 63, once of Falls City Nebraska, died of starvation in West Palm Beach Florida. He inherited $50 000 from his brother's estate seven years ago after years of disappearance following his father's suicide near Falls City. He was known as eccentric and only reluctantly claimed his portion of the inheritance. His mother belonged to the Illinois Orendorff family tied to Parlin Orendorff Implement Co.
Mrs. Harriet J. Kirkham 83 widow of Rev. Frank M. Kirkham wed Rev. John B. Hay 89 after 58 years of shared church work. They received congratulations from their children and grandchildren. The Kirkham lineage includes Gen. Francis M. Drake and Drake University founder ties.

Sixteen persons were injured in a wreck of train No. 4 of the Oregon-Washington Railroad & Navigation company forty one miles east of Lagrande Oregon. One victim, Mike Molamun, suffered a fractured skull and was reported in critical condition. The crash was caused by a broken rail with the train thrown into a ditch.
