A sensational advertisement extols Sherman’s Poor Man’s Plaster with grand claims of curing back pain internal ailments and rheumatism, urging trust in the plaster and its inventor while listing numerous testimonials. It also promotes Sands Sarsaparilla as a universal cure for scrofula, rheumatism, skin diseases, and other chronic complaints with letters of endorsement from users and agents across several towns.
Fragmentary OCR notes show a legal filing titled involving Hindunbar, WotTom, Ay turven and Qounseluur at law through a Chancery office. Dated May 17, the entry references J Peares, Kay, Garmilion and others, with ambiguous and damaged lines.
A historical notice announces that the subweaver William McCandless will continue to serve old customers in New Nagerstown Carroll County Ohio. He will operate from his shop and attend to patrons, accepting country produce as payment and advertising access to New York and Philadelphia fashions each Spring and Fall. Dated February 14, 1845.
Estate of Walter McClintock in Carroll County Ohio appoints Alexander Porter as administrator. Creditors must present claims within one year, with proper authentication, for settlement.
The partnership between Cummings and Akers associated with Lue Pariseentiip dissolved March 20, 1845. All business of the concern will be conducted by J P Cummings who is authorized to manage the affairs. CUMMINGS & AKERS May 16, 1845.
