Funeral Today For Sumner Man
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at the Berg chapel for Joseph Becker, 31, who died Saturday night at the home of his daughter Mrs. G. Neimann near Sumner. Becker was born in Germany May 13, 1857 and came to America at age six. He moved to Banks township in 1869 and married Marie Wittenders May 27, 1880. She died in 1931. He had lived with his daughter for 73 years. Survived by his daughter, two sons John of Sumner and George, Long Beach California. 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
