From Local News Desk it is unbelievable that such pleasant surroundings and painstaking care could be available to the 107 patients of the county home. Mr. and Mrs. Schulte have led a profitable, cost free to taxpayers operation since 1944 and pass the duties to Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Kregel amid praise for thrift, supervision, and room capacity. The home lies six miles north of Fayette and covers 538 acres with four divisions housing both mental and poor patients.

Zion Lutherans Attend Waterloo Rally by Charter Bus
About 100 members of Zion American Lutheran church traveled to Waterloo by chartered bus and private cars for a Lutheran rally at the Hippodrome. Dr. H W Siefkes welcomed about six thousand worshippers from across Iowa as master of ceremonies. Dr Hanns Lilje, Hanover bishop, spoke of Nazi prison experiences and urged fearless action and obedience to God. Four hundred Luther Leaguers formed a cross in the arena and sang the rally hymn as the Wartburg College band played Holst and other choral numbers. The service ended with the congregation singing A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.
