White Sox Fall to Loogootee in Hasty 1–0 Loss

In a fast game at Loogootee on Sunday the Loogootee boys edged the White Sox 1–0. Asa Williams struck out 14 and held Odon hitless, while Curt Williams allowed ten hits but the locals were foiled by baserunning and a single, late defensive miscue. Attendance 250. Next Sunday the White Sox travel to Loogootee to decide the series.

Aeroplane Reported Seen Over City Sunday

A single pilot aeroplane was seen southwest of town Sunday afternoon about six o'clock moving in a northeast direction. The craft crossed the city at high speed and was reported from Washington as seen at several locations along its path.

Three auto loads of business men from this place traveled to Washington to discuss direct telephone connections with the county seat. A cooperative system here charges 34.00 yearly for businesses and 2.50 for residences, with 1200 possible connections. A committee was named to press Washington for better service into Northern Daviess County and promote direct communication with the county seat.

Fortune Telles Sentences for Petit Larceny Convicts Rosses

In the circuit court Judge J W Ogden sentenced James K E Ross and Helen Ross for petit larceny. Rosses receive prison terms from one to eight years with fines and disfranchisement for a year. Ross is sent to the Jeffersonville reform school and Helen to Indianapolis women's prison. The trial motion for new trial was denied.

Alfred Luallen and family of Burns City traveled through Willow Lick en route to visit his parents Mr and Mrs Jackson Luallen. Several residents, including Mrs Clara Lonallen and children, Miss Ada Evans, and Mrs E T Laughlin with companions, spent Sunday with relatives and attended church or social events in nearby towns.

The bride is daughter of Mrs. Sarah Allen of Terre Haute with ties to Odon and Van Buren township. Routledge, also of Terre Haute, is an electrical contractor and Rose Poly graduate.
