William W Mallett Dies Prominent Bogard Citizen
William W. Mallett, well known Bogard resident, died at his home southeast of town last Tuesday afternoon from paralysis and debility after years of poor health. Born April 20, 1838, he was married to Phoebe Byrer and had nine children, including Mrs. Quill Standiford and Mrs. Dennis Dow. He attended the Christian church at Campers and participated in local activities until his death.

Body of Clarence White Laid to Rest
The body of Clarence R. White, a World War II soldier killed in action at Chateau Thierry in 1918, was laid to rest in Elnora Cemetery last Sunday. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gee White of Elnora, about twenty six at death, employed in Akron, Ohio, and a member of the Marines Corps. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church in Elnora with the Elnora Post of the American Legion taking part.
