Walter Stuckey of Eaglesville has been selected as principal of Glendale High School in Washington Township. He is a son of ALW. Stuckey of Van Buren Township.
Reports indicate a diphtheria outbreak in Barr town with rising cases and emergency measures under consideration. Authorities urge vigilance as health officials deploy antitoxin and monitor close contacts while local leaders discuss containment steps.
The Elmore township announces the selection of teachers including Witter Nugent, Copa Nugent, Hastings, Adbert Malone, McMullen, Clements, Wales, Hervey Pores, Stoner, Nellie Courtney, and A. J. Dillon. School will begin September 12.
An eight year old boy Ralph Dearmin of Washington, son of Cari Dearmin, broke his left leg while an apple tree incident at John Blanford's home in Steele Township. He was visiting relatives during the last day afternoon and has several prior visits in Onon.
Readers of the church in Orton are called to meet at the church on Thursday at 9 00 o clock September to elect two trustees for the church. This is by order of the church dated September.
Miss Amy Barr of Washington marries Will Hayes, a Washington Township farmer, in a Saturday ceremony at Louisville. Mrs Hayes is the daughter of county commissioner Robert Barr and has taught in Washington schools. She has been visiting relatives.
After a trip through the east Mr and Mrs Hayes will go to housekeeping at Washington. The couple is well known to many people in Oion.
