Four children and two adults in Brown jowechip Martin Cousty fall ill after breakfast biscuits made from a four week old supply. Victims prostrate then improve after medical aid. arsenic likely involved in the Loogostee incident with an ongoing investigation.
Indiana races and political events described include a six day tour of Indiana by Senator Charles W. Fairbanks on a special train with stops in Indianapolis Fort Wayne Hammond Lafayette Terre Haute Evansville and Evansville. Beveridge Hanley and others accompany the trip as speakers with about 18 to 20 speeches planned. A separate incident reports Miss Della Sisson's nose severely cut in an accident near Pleasantville Sullivan County while traveling to church.
Otto Nugent of Mitchell and his brother Joseph Nugent of Mitchell were linked to forged checks in Bedford and Radford. Otto fled but was captured after a chase and ordered to court for forgery. Albert Taylor, 17, with past Reform School ties, was arrested in Mitchell for passing a forged check on a livery stable.

James Hides of Plataville died after a crush at Hiccuifield where he was working last week. He was 52 years old and survived by his wife and two children. The body was taken to Plataville for burial.

Washington papers report William Williams of Eaglesville was hauled before the Mayor after a drunken Sunday assault on his wife. An affidavit was filed by Mrs. Williams detailing the abuse and ill treatment she endured.
The Southern Indiana Railroad is to enter Indianapolis with papers filed in the Secretary of State and deeds for about fifty acres of land costing 75 000 dollars. The site near Terre Haute will serve as a terminal to market coal mined along the line.
John Herr a Washington machinist enraged by a dispute struck his wife with a poker, pinning her head to the floor. She escaped to her father Taylor Allen who found Herr barricaded inside with a gun, ax, poker and hatchet. Herr fled before police arrived.
A wreck on Sunday at Mt Olive caused the wrecking train to jump the track and delayed all trains. The tender derailed first and other cars left the rails, but no injuries were reported though passengers faced significant delays while a temporary track was built to restore service.
The Vircennes Washington and Eastern Traction Company moves to survey the new road. W H Schoot serves as president and will personally direct the survey under his contract.
