A 49 year old stone cutter named Jack Brown employed at the Correll C Orrell plant forged a $1500 check drawn on Correll & Barrell and passed it at Pershing & Matthews. The suspect disappeared Saturday night, with others hints pointing to New York or a nearby town. Suspicions led to the shopkeepers who accepted the note, while investigators seek Brown who fled on the midnight freight.
Cutting Scrape At Washington Ends In Knife Fight
