Nora E. English seeks 7500 dollars in Knox circuit court against Ella Godlan alleging cruel treatment led to divorce from William T. English and accusing the Cochran woman of alienating the husband and causing 4000 dollars of property loss. The suit cites a 1890 marriage, two children and prior alimony of 21000.

Andrew Gill of Linton former Indiana University star athlete and Mary Wright were married Tuesday at the bride's home in Berne. The couple will reside in Galesburg Tilt where Gill is physical director at Lambast college. The bride is Indiana University graduate.
William D. Johnson and Nettie J. Smith wed at 1 30 PM Wednesday at the home of Rev. C G Buchanan southwest of Odon with a few friends present. Johnson is a Greene county native son. The bride is a popular Greene county young woman. They will reside on a Greene county farm.
Chas Haverstock and family visited Elias Baile and family Sunday. Wim Sprague of near Eaglesville visited W P Howard and family. Win Jackson was called home due to illness of his son Ambrose who is very ill with pneumonia fever. Mrs Mary Golt spent Strusday with Mrs Grace Herron. Cisco Kinnaman and family of Odon visited Mr and Mrs Kinnaman Sunday. Iven Connell spent Sunday with James Baite and family. Frank Norman repairing fridges this week. Misses Sarah Holt Eva Connell spent Sunday with Miss Janie Cress lind. Earl Carpenter spent Sunday with relatives in Odou. Misses Edith Barrett and Ethel Howard spent Sunday with Miss Beatrice Herran.

Will Williams narrowly escaped serious harm when his horse ran away on Sunday overturning the buggy and throwing occupants beneath. The buggy was wrecked but the Pennhonts were uninjured. the horse was captured after a hard chase and the rig temporarily repaired to return to town.
Oliver Herndon running for sheriff says he spent nothing on campaign costs beyond filing statements costing 75 cents. William J. Shanks republican candidate for surveyor reports spending 3 pounds and donates this amount to the no campaign fund.

A horse driven by Pink Sears ran away Monday near R. D. Alford's farm after a spotted pony frightened it. The rig toppled into a ditch and a barbed wire fence, leaving Sears scratched and his clothes torn. The horse was brought to town after being secured.
