A group of five Washington citizens A D Goosey Eugene Alberti Bruce Barnett Paul Staver and Charles Cunningham were injured when their car turned over in a ditch while racing a motorcycle on the way to a track meet in Linton. Goosey escaped serious injury though bruised while Staver Alberti were hurt but not seriously and two others were admitted to Freeman hospital at Linton.

Frank Torricelli an Italian was found guilty of murder in the commission of a robbery for killing Fred Cromwell a merchant policeman in Linton on Feb 7.
