Death of Ben Blackamore A Rural Community Loss
Ben Blackamore a well known farmer living two miles northeast of Scotland died Monday unloading grain at Newberry from heart trouble after a period of illness. He leaves a wife and two daughters and was buried Wednesday. Last Sunday Rev E B Ward and wife spoke at Mud Pike and Pleasant Hill churches to a large audience before departing Tuesday for the Foreign Missionary Board meeting in Scottdale Penn.

Death of John S. Conrad at 78 in Odon West
John S. Conrad of Brocton Illinois died Wednesday evening at his son Aden’s home in west Odon after a illness of pneumonia. Born April 23 1844 in Harrison County Indiana he moved to Daviess County in 1853 later settling in Brocton. Survived by wife Nancy J. McCarty six children Will Aden Isaac John Van Oran and Etta Igo and 14 grandchildren. Funeral at Mt Olive Church with burial in Mt Olive Cemetery.

Runaway horse frightens farmer in township incident
George Myers, a well known farmer, stood near the vuggy with lines in hand when his horse bolted after a flouring mill whistle. The horse ran northeast to Otis Callahan's Nome, the buggy damaged but the horse unharmed.

Eva Correll and Albert Schultz Marry in Terre Haute
Miss Eva Correll and Albert Schultz received a marriage license in Terre Haute and were married. Correll, daughter of Mr and Mrs James Correll, had resided in Odon until recently and has many local friends. Schultz is a mason from Terre Haute and visited Miss Correll about a month ago.
