Water Melon Grower Aims Higher Output This Year
County Superintendent Philander McHenry visited the area on Tuesday to inspect the melon operation at a St. township farm. Owner Mr M Henry said his tenant plans to cultivate about fifty acres and ship about thirty carloads, roughly 30 000 melons, up from twenty carloads last year. A car carries about 1000 melons. bags will be used for packing.

Truant Officer Elected Colbert In County Vote
George Colbert of Washington was elected Truant after Monday by the county board of education. The board includes ten township trustees four town boards presidents and the county superintendent.
