Miss Core Laughlin Weds C T Esterly in Massillon

Last Wednesday at high noon Miss Core Laughlin, popular in the city, married C T Esterly of Massillon Ohio at the bride’s sister Mrs Howard Allman’s home in Massillon. The Rev S L Stewart officiated. The couple will reside at 2014 Rodman St Massillon.

Mrs Marjorie Keller of Mooresville visits sister Miss Verna Weidiner. Odon High School Commencement Exercises Tonight

The Odon High School graduating class of twelve will receive diplomas at the First Christian Church tonight. The ceremony includes music by the orchestra and choir, invocation, student orations, and the presentation of diplomas by Supt. Grigsby. The twelve graduates are ten girls and two boys: Ralph McCoy, Artie Dyal, Bonnie Sommers, Ruth Nichols, Blanche Pickett, Eunice McCallian, Sylvia O'donald, Ruth Core, Selah Breden, Edith Lane, Helen Breden, and Genvieve Ward.

In April 1919 a correspondent writes from Europe about combat duty with Company B of the 314 Engineers, 89th Division. He details arrival in England and France, fronts at St Mihiel and Meuse Argonne, the December advance into Germany, daily marches, and a visit to Coblenz and Eltz Castle. He notes W. S. Bunch’s injury from a wagon accident and his brief incapacitation.

Madison hosts a victory loan drive celebration with a 7 30 p m concert on Main and Spring streets. Lieut Tharp and Alvin Padgett of Washington will speak after musical numbers. Returned soldiers may join in street drills as spectators as the crowd gathers for an all evening program.
