The Jourman lists advertising rates and notices for thanks and condolences. It notes law summaries from the sixty fifth session of the Indiana Legislature, advising filing for future reference. Complete law text will be published by the state as a 960 page book and kept on file at its office.
The Odon Grove Co. leases its plant to the Home Glove and Mitten Co of Bloomington for a six month trial starting mid April. Forty machines planned, with permanent lease if enough help is secured. D W Jayes to handle job applications. The Bloomington firm has operated there since 1901 and expects no hindrance in hiring sufficient workers.
Farlen items note Mr and Mrs J G Taylor were in town Friday. Hubbard went to Loogostee Friday. Elijah James from Odon visited for John Hancock Mutual Life. Mr and Mrs P M Laughlin were here from Odobh Saturday. Mrs Jane Murray and daughters Lois and Belle and A D Bechtel visited Alec Killen in Martin County Sunday. Mr and Mrs John Statts visited relatives near Epsom Sunday. Mirman Sims and Dayie Moore were here Friday afternoon. Allegra Bowman of Epsom is visiting Mr and Mrs John Statts this week.
Report of the condition of The First National Bank at Odon Indiana as of business date March 22 1907. Resources list loans discounts bonds securities and banking house with deposits and reserve details. Liabilities show capital stock surplus profits and various deposits, with officers Lowry Cooper and JM Winklepleck as directors.
Numerous residents return from Indianapolis Richmond and Burns City while others travel to Washington Martin County Epsom and Terre Haute. Local clubs and civic groups meet with updates on members and officers and a Red Men district gathering is noted along with a D. D. D. club evening and prize contest.
The United Brethren Church announces regular services next Sunday at 7 30 pm led by Pastor A Snyder. The message titled The Risen Life will be preached with other usual services scheduled.
