Miss Ina Cooper night operator of the Telephone Co. wed Mr. Nathan Diaz Doolin of Plainville at his brother Lee Doolin's Plainville home. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Henry Denhbo in front of few relatives. They will reside in Plainville.
Pearce a renowned tipple builder of Linton sues Job Freeman of Linton for slander demanding 50 000 pounds. Freeman a Greene County magnate and Republican candidate for state treasurer allegedly accused Pearce of robbery in conversations after Pearce completed a Glen Awr mip project in Vigo County.
Dr. J. N. Harty of the State Board of Health notes that during the school months from October to May, 1908, 816 of 1104 deaths among seven to fourteen-year-olds occurred, with 288 deaths in vacation time. He reports illnesses in school months about four times higher than in vacations, while deaths run about three to one in favor of the school period.

Judge Henderson set May 2 for the second trial of Rev E O Tilburn in Greene county on embezzlement charges after a hung jury in the first trial. Bond was reduced from 5000 to 500 and the sheriff ordered to move Tilburn to Sullivan if bondsmen cannot be found due to Bloomsfield jail conditions.
