Mrs Verda Ketchem dies after long Christian life in Mulberry

Verda Dyal Ketchem born September 2, 1891 near Rogiesville Indiana, daughter of Palmer and Julia Dyal, died at Mulberry Indiana last Saturday. She married J Schuyler Ketchem on August 18 1916 and the couple had a son John Jr who died five days before his mother. She was a 1910 graduate of Odon High School and a longtime United Brethren member. Funeral services were held Monday at 1 PM at the U B church with Rev. Ernest Roberts, burial at Walnut Hill.

Local couple wed in Washington ceremony

Roscoe Kinneman and Miss Madge Jacobs joined in marriage at the county seat with Rev Ellis M. Jones officiating. Mrs Jacobs, daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Jacobs, is a 19XX graduate of O H L S and formerly of Indianapolis. The groom, eldest son of Mr and Mrs W T Dearmin, is a Lin ton High School graduate and manager of his father's poultry plant. The couple will honeymoon in Kalb Illinois before Mr Dearmin returns to service.

Daniel Resler Dies After Long County Residence

Daniel Resler, long respected resident of the county, died at his home west of the city last Wednesday night from dropsy and illness. He was 68 and leaves a wife and several children. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 AM at the U B Church with Rev. Ernest Roberts officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Bill. The notice also mentions a local sale and shop promotions.

Gratitude Expressed For Kindness After Loss

G A R D S OF THANKS express sincere thanks to friends for aid and sympathy during illness death and burial of husband and son Ron. They thank friends relatives for sympathy in loss of Verda Ketchem and John Jr. They appreciate the quartet for songs and Rev. Roberts for consolation. Bowman Hildreth Nuptials Unite Illinois Bride and Local Groom

Paul Bowman formerly of this community and Miss Ella Hildreth of Illinois were married in Elles Pennsylvania last Monday. The bride, an attractive young fore lady at the Good year plant, met Bowman there. The groom, son of Willard Bowman, is a sergeant who has served as inspector and instructor in the gas mask division at various states. Best wishes for a happy married life from the community.
