Indiana Baptist Pastor Elected Amid Local Church Turmoil

Parkeville Baptist Church chose Rev. John Rich as pastor after a church election. The New Albany woolen mills closed due to failure to reorganize. Death of Hon. Wm. H. English after six weeks illness

The veteran Indiana politician and literateur Hon. William H. English died at his hotel home after a six week illness. He was unconscious for an hour before death. Survived by son Will B. English and daughter Mrs. Ross Walling of Chicago. English, a native of Indiana, had a long political career including service in the state legislature and U.S. politics. The estate is estimated between 50,000 and 847,000 dollars.

Train wreck injures eight on Cincinnati & Muskingham line

A passenger train wreck near Crooksville, Ohio, at 1:20 a.m. injured eight people, with two in critical condition.
