W OM Ledgerwood of Denver Colorado spends a few days with relatives here. Former resident born on a farm east of town Deer Farren. He later taught in Oklahoma and moved west, eventually entering real estate in Denver. Mining and oil investments fueled a comfortable fortune while he remained a young man. Ledgerwood appears healthy and enjoys reconnecting with old friends during this visit.

Tuscania Survivor Alva Bowman Listed in Local Family

The torpedoed British ship Tuscania survivor Alva Bowman is confirmed as a local relative of Carmi Illinois residents. He served in the Foresters division and reached Port Ellen Ireland after being rescued by a destroyer, with prior Washington D C posting and a bout with U Boat danger. Farewell Party for Wrights At Their Home
