The wedding of Albertus H Bauserman and Verna G Sears occurred at noon Saturday at the bride’s grandfather Dr A K Lane home with Rev C H Buchanan officiating before about 25 guests. They will reside in Illinois. Rose Hubbard and Thomas Sears wed in Washington with Rev C M Day officiating before the couple left for Terre Haute to start their life together.

Charged with Robbing Store in Washington Two Arrested

Clifford Baum and McKinley Mallory of Washington were arrested Tuesday night near Camp Manning by William Kermode and William Wykeff after suspected robbery at Vater state. Baum refused to drew a revolver when arrested. Police found two boxes of chewing tobacco at Baum's home identified as those used at the Volmer store.

Small Blaze Damages West Elnora Home

A small fire at the home of Chas Toon on West Elnora street caused minor damage before the fire department arrived. The blaze started from a defective fire and a hole in the roof was the most visible damage. The building belonged to Geo Webster of Champaign and was insured.

Mrs Hannah A Scott died at her daughter’s home six miles southwest of Qton after a long illness. She was 74 years, 7 months and 17 days old and had been an invalid for sixteen years.
