Carpenter Carr Tie Union in a Local Nuptial

Willis Roy Carpenter of One City and Miss Alice Eva Carr of Moison township were married in a small ceremony on Christmas Eve. The bride is daughter of Joseph Carr, groom son of William Carpenter, with Reverend Jone officiating. The couple will reside in Odon with many friends sending best wishes.

Mrs Hudelson Dead of Indianapolis Community

Mrs William Allen Hudelson of Indianapolis died at home 216 South Walcott Street last Wednesday from heart failure and prostration. She was 57 and grew up nearby. A member of the Episcopal church she was loved and respected by all. She is survived by four children Charles Sims Liver Hudelson Mrs Free Paul and Tone Hudelson. two brothers Abraham Allen and John R Allen. Funeral services were held at the residence and interment followed at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Huff Praises Jackson County Crops and Farm Profits

A. L. Huff, who moved to Jackson County, reports strong crops this season with peas yielding nearly 20 bushels per acre and cowpea hay selling at $16.50 per ton. He grew pumpkins for an eating factory, fed pumpkins to stock, and reports excellent corn quality. Huff also feeds 170 hogs as they prosper. Miss Pauline DeMolle returns home for Christmas from Oxford Ohio to spend holidays with her parents.

Sophomore Christmas Program and Senior Comedy at Local School

The sophomore class staged a pleasing Christmas program featuring readings, solos by Martha Cooper, a piano piece, and a letter to St Nick. The senior class performed a three act comedy "Putting it up to Pat" with songs by Martha Cooper and the Kinnaman Trio. A basketball game between Plaidville and the home team followed, with Udon leading late in the game. Mrs. Wo Anderson spoke on Red Cross Christmas seals, urging sales to support tuberculosis relief.
