Prominent Kinora man dies suddenly at gravel pit

Zi Banish, longtime resident near Kinora, collapsed and died Saturday morning at a gravel pit while hauling a load. The 55 year old man, who had heart trouble, was pronounced dead before Dr. C C Young arrived. Coroner’s inquest held that night. survived by wife and two daughters. Funeral at Church of Christ Elnora Monday at ten. Burial in Elnora old cemetery.

The Odor team traveled to Bedford last Saturday to face the Tena. Bedford edged Odon 27 to 9 in a rough but clean contest. Officials praised Odon for playing the cleanest game the venue has seen.

A large dog, likely rabid, roamed north of town Wednesday afternoon biting and killing animals near Ed Ferguson, Valley Cove, Wm Malone, and other homes. It chased wagons, bit dogs and a cat, drew crowds, and was killed after miles of pursuit. Stock bitten are confined for observation.

A deputy sheriff seized a horse kept in a Lafayette barn for fourteen years and moved it to a livery. Neighbors and authorities describe cruel treatment. the horse was described as emaciated and deformed from long confinement. William H Moore died in a railroad accident fourteen years ago. his widow Sarah Moore and son Wilbur Moore kept the animals confined near their home. One horse died two years ago. the remaining horse is said to look little like a horse.
