A local shop invites customers to call and visit to view a range of Christmas presents including watches clocks and decorative timepieces. Shoppers can select from plain and fancy styles across multiple kinds.
Mary A. Stubbs daughter of Joseph H. Stubbs late chief of the bureau of statistics is named to succeed him and becomes Indiana’s first woman to hold a state elective office. Gov Hanly announced the appointment after consulting with Miss Stubbs and noting no constitutional bar. Edgar Goodnow praised the choice and the appointment as the best possible.
Passenger trains effective Nov 4 1906 run daily with north and south bound services from Odon. The schedule lists trains 8 2 4 6 north and 1 3 5 7 south plus connections at Terre Haute Linton Benson Enora Breport Seymour and Westport with major lines and agents. Local Sunday tickets are one fare for round trip and mileage is honored by Central Passenger Association. Brand Rubber Boots and overs are advertised by Froelich's.
For Christmas and New Years 1906 1907 the Southern Indiana Ry sells excursion tickets open to line points at one and one third fare round trip. No tickets under 25 cents. Tickets sold December 22 23 24 25 29 30 31 1906 and January 1 1907. Return limit January 2 1907.
