Odon Triumphs In Tight Elnora Showdown With Dearmin Stars
Odon led 28 to 24 at halftime and held on for a total win over Elnora as Dearmin scored 18 points. Local Moore Lodge 303 officers were elected with Guy Marshall presiding. John Sare Dies at 85 in East Odon
John Sare a Civil War veteran and longtime resident of east Odon died last Sunday at his home after a period of declining health. Born July 18 1834 near Herodsburg Indiana he married America Zyke and later Ida Badson and had four daughters Agnes Della Bell and Francis. He leaves a wife four daughters three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren with funeral services held Monday conducted by Rev Edwin Shake at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Puckett Spaulding Couple Wed in Burns City Home
Harlen George Puckett and Edna Bella Spaulding of Burns City were united in marriage at 11:00 last Thursday with Rev. C. H. Buchanan officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Wm Spaulding. the groom, son of Mr and Mrs George Puckett, recently returned from military jeep service on the Mexican border. A Thanksgiving dinner followed at the groom’s parents home as the couple plans to farm in Martin County.
