The September registration will occur Friday September 6 with planners forecasting less confusion than May. The auditor leads preparations while commissioners pick registration sites and inspectors remain in place unless vacancies occur. Residents who did not register in May must register in September or October, with moves before election triggering a new registration record.
The Pleasant Grove United Brethren church, located about seven miles south of Odon, was dedicated Sunday August 11. Elder J. W. Gilley of Washington delivered the main address. The roomy frame church cost about 1600 dollars, with 890 dollars raised on dedication day, exceeding the debt. The Eaglesville charge is served by Pastor W. H. Todai.
Fred Byrer, a well known young man, and Miss Clara were married in a ceremony officiated by Squire Kellum. The brief notice confirms the union in the community.

The Old Settlers gathering opened today amid improving weather and a growing crowd. Former Odon residents returning for the annual event mark it as a home coming with grounds filling and many stands located.
