Fatal Shooting at Terre Haute Court Clip

James C. Leasure a 50 year old West Terre Haute garage owner died in a hospital Monday night from gunshot wounds after a street fight with Dr. R J Danner a physician. Witnesses said Leasure attacked Danner with a blackjack prompting a confrontation that drew a crowd. Danner pursued and returned with a pistol shooting Leasure five times. Leasure later died after the altercation continued. Continuous reporting on the incident followed with details of injuries and escapes.

Burns City News Tells Of Illnesses and Local Happenings

The peach crop ripening slowly. Algerna Ketchem is very ill this week and John Maryfield remains on the sick list. Marriages of James Russell Cunningham and Margaret Sears

James Russell Cunningham and Margaret Sears were married last Saturday morning at Lone Oak. The ceremony was conducted by Rev C H Buchanan, an uncle of the bride. The groom, son of Lewis Cunningham of two miles west of Odin, has worked as a clerk in Terre Haute. The bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs Ribble Sears, resides west of town and is noted as an accomplished young woman. The couple left on the 9 10 train Saturday for Terre Haute to begin married life.

Bowman Brown wed in Lone Oak ceremony

William H Bowman and Mrs May me Brown were united in marriage last Monday at 7 00 o clock. Rev C H Buchanan conducted the ceremony at his Lone Oak home. The couple will reside at the Bowman home southwest of town.

Miss Etta Lois Webster daughter of Mr and Mrs G W Webster married Ray Fergueson son of Mrs Myrtle Fergueson of Jackson Michigan at 445 pm Sunday at the Methodist parsonage Rev Paul E Carson officiated The couple attended by Mr and Mrs J T Owens The bride wore tan flat crepe trimmed in creme lace with a column of roses and lilies They plan a short wedding trip and expect to live in Jackson Michigan after August 15 The wedding party and guests included Webster and Owens family members.
