Headless Skeleton Found During Farm Excavation
Joseph Neiswanger, a prosperous farmer near Eloora, unearthed human bones six feet down while digging for a basement. All bones except the skull were found, suggesting the head was severed before burial. The farm spans 180 acres in northern Davis County and rests on early settled ground. Washington Herald.

Mrs Barbara Winklepleck a well known resident died suddenly Saturday evening at her home in west Odon cause paralysis. Born November 25 1845 in Tuscarawas County Ohio she moved to the county in 1852 and married Jacob Winklepleck in May 1865. Survived by husband two children Charles and William eight grandchildren funeral at Good Hope church Monday ten oclock burial Walnut Gill cemetery.
