Charles Freeman Died at Soldiers Home in Leavenworth
Chas Freeman long time Odon resident and Civil War veteran died Friday at the Soldiers Home in Leavenworth Kansas from pneumonia fever His son L W Freeman and undertaker George W Henderson brought the body home and he lay in state at his daughter Mrs Elmer Bunch home before funeral services at the M ic church led by Rev J W Trowbridge He is buried beside his wife in Walnut Hill cemetery He was born September 5 1845 in Tuscarawas county Ohio and served in the Third Ohio Cavalry He married Julia Sommers on February 7 1867 and they had eight children all surviving with one predeceased spouse His children live in Colon Indianapolis and one in Indianapolis. he was a blacksmith on Main Street earlier in life.

Harper Resler couple wed in east Odon church home
Herschel Harper and Miss Lora Resler were married Sunday evening at Rev. G. P. Crawford's home in east Odon in a small ceremony with only immediate family. The bride, daughter of Tom Reser of Van Buren township, wore white silk with matching hat and slippers. the groom wore black. A six o’clock dinner followed at the bride’s parents’ home, then the couple went to their prepared home.

County commissioner Horrall dies from tractor accident
Lon Horrall, county commissioner, died at 12 30 PM Friday at Daviess county hospital from injuries after his overcoat snagged on a tractor flywheel during harrowing in a field near Washington. He leaves a widow and six children, plus brothers and sisters. He had served as county official since January 1 1915 and was active in the Methodist Episcopal church.

Octogenarian Elizabeth Sterling dies in Ohio then buried here
Mrs Elizabeth Sterling eighty five died Sunday in Canton Ohio from old age and disease. Her funeral was held at the Christian church with Rev Charles Coleman in charge. Burial followed in Walnut Hill cemetery. She was born near Dover Ohio and was widowed twice, survived by children James Sterling Burns City John Sterling Arkansas Mrs Ella Covert Jonesboro Ark Mrs Low Tazza San Francisco and Mrs Florence Kramer Los Angeles. Revival Closes After Four Week Meeting at United Brethren
Evangelist Rinehart of Marion Ohio presided over a four week revival at the United Brethren church. Forty five meetings were held, eighty converts reported, twenty three new members joined the U B church, and other town churches gained new members. A large crowd gathered at the depot Monday morning to bid Rev. Rinehart farewell as he departed for Akron Ohio to begin another series of meetings.
