Judge tosses out teen brothers’ murder convictions in Florida

Penacala Florida AP report says Circuit Judge Frank Bell called the case unusual and bizarre as he voided the convictions of Alex King 13 and Derek King 14 for their father’s murder. He ordered mediation and a possible new trial after finding due process concerns from conflicting theories presented at trial. The boys faced 20 years to life as adults for second degree murder without a weapon and arson.
