Einhorn claims trunk held important papers on new weaponry
Ira Einhorn testifies that the steamer trunk containing Holly Maddux’s remains stored papers about new weaponry from around the world. Prosecutors say no papers were found in the trunk when police opened it in 1979, while Einhorn alleges the CIA framed him and he kept documents there until 1978 or 1979.

Bison bones found in Stinnett date to ancient drought era
Tests on bison bones unearthed by a swimming pool dig in Stinnett show the animal died about 5,700 years ago during a prolonged drought. Anthropologist Deborah Summers notes the discovery, linked to a period of severe drought discussed by historian Jack Hughes. The bison reportedly weighed up to 4,000 pounds and was found July 24 by a backhoe operator near Amarillo.
