Diablo Canyon repair work deemed not tremendously difficult
Pacific Gas and Electric says fixes for a design mistake at Diablo Canyon are basically a welding job and could be finished by month end. Engineers planned talks with NRC staff in Washington as federal approval would allow low power testing soon after repairs. The error was identified more than a year ago.
