Scheme closed by SEC in multi state investment club case
Nadine Gan of West Springfield Massachusetts ran a multimillion dollar investment club scheme in fourteen states. The SEC obtained a permanent injunction alleging she collected about 2.5 million dollars from club members between 1979 and last spring and used funds for personal accounts. New members funded old members and some investors never recovered. Gan called the charge baloney but did not contest the judgment. The action highlights prior restraints in Massachusetts and Connecticut beginning mid summer.
