West Texas Guitar Festival shines at Odessa venue
Croatian guitarist Ana Vidovic headlines a festival led by Dan Keast at the Wagner Noel Center. About 80 to 100 students registered with $10 entries playing pieces from the Texas Prescribed Music List and others chosen by the students. Teachers from San Angelo, Odessa and beyond conducted workshops as junior high and high school students experienced a rare guitar education showcase. The event moved from three buildings to a single Performing Arts Center to centralize resources and expand opportunities for guitar education in the area.
