Jury finds racist guilty in murders
Avowed racist Joseph Paul Franklin was convicted in federal court of violating the civil rights of two black joggers shot to death last summer and now faces a state murder trial in the same incident. Prosecutors plan to pursue state charges despite a looming double jeopardy argument. Franklin claims a government frameup and has denied the killings.
