Hamilton stops traffic with councilman status questioned
Citizens and police review reveal a CRU stop in Odessa on Snyder Street tied to a drug activity complaint. Malcolm Hamilton, council member, defended his actions while officers say the stop used a minor parking offense to maximize neighborhood contacts. Probes note internal investigations against an officer unrelated to Hamilton’s stop, and city leaders urge respectful, cautious conduct during police encounters.
