Andrews Thunder Wheels Car Show draws three generations
More than 70 vintage and older cars gathered in Andrews for the second annual Thunder Wheels Car Club show. Hosted by the 16 member club and sponsors Dawn and Maurice Andrews, entrants came from New Mexico Oklahoma and Louisiana. Club president J D Foster said the event celebrates memories of old cars and youth while noting shifts toward muscle cars and ongoing concerns about safety and emissions. The turnout was smaller than last year due to extreme heat yet attracted car lovers and families alike.
