Lincoln Home Needs Repairs After Tourists' Wear
In Springfield Illinois the Lincoln Home, a major tourism site, requires repairs after years of heavy visitation. U S Park Service official Jim O Toole said floorboards and exterior wood framing show weakening while antique protections need upgrading. Architects will draft plans with work hoped to start by late 1984, costs to be determined. Lincoln's two story house sits near the statehouse and was the only home Lincoln owned.
