Nameless briny lake forms on Utah salt flats near Wendover
A giant briny lake has risen on western Utah salt flats near Wendover, a new inland sea remnant from Lake Bonneville. Geologists and locals note unknown depth and duration while brine shrimp thrive in the mineral waters. The lake covers part of the Bonneville bed near Interstate 80, with Sevier Dry Lake also holding spring runoff.
