A Dinosaur Named Sue Found by Sue Hendrickson
In Hill City South Dakota in 1990 paleontologist Sue Hendrickson found fossilized T rex bones while working for the Black Hills Institute of Geological Research. The dinosaur was named Sue to honor that find. She credits her knowledge of strata for choosing the right rock layers to explore.
