Stoner claims outfoxing FBI during four month fugitive run

Avowed white supremacist J B Stoner now jailed in Alabama says in a hand written letter to The Atlanta Constitution that he evaded the FBI for months by avoiding people who knew him and staying in motels and restaurants. An FBI agent says he would have been found anyway even if he had not surrendered June 2 in Montgomery. He calls the time a pleasant vacation and describes encounters with friendly strangers who recognized him. He discusses his capture and notes financial trouble and his long history with the National States Rights Party.
