Hollmann Joins Odessa CDC as City Eyes Budget Direction
Hollmann told the city Council he aims to boost employment in Odessa. The ODC awaits guidance after officials removed Breaux and scuttled an oilfield equipment incentive, while a multimillion land project was canceled. Mayor Turner plans a joint session on the economic development fund as the board fills. Several council members praised Hollmann, citing his nonbiased stance and commitment to Odessa. The meeting at San Jacinto Elementary drew a smaller crowd amid ongoing construction. The budget includes a 36 percent funding request by the Hispanic Chamber and a $114,297.28 allocation for Mexico Initiative head Raymond Chavez amid ongoing scrutiny.
