Henley jury examinations push toward retrial panel
Corpus Christi Texas AP attorneys near a full jury for Elmer Wayne Henley retrial in the Houston area youth slayings. Seventy six persons interviewed over seven days, 27 of 32 veniremen agreed. 12 will hear the case after strikes. Henley 23, sentenced to six consecutive 99 year terms in a prior San Antonio trial later overturned. He confessed to shooting Dean Corll in August 1973, leading to two grave sites with recovered remains in East Texas.
